ok so first things first. i bent one of my roters (dont ask) so i repolace them myself. i also half to change the breakpads. 4 weeks down the road there is this screeching sound when i turn right. when i straighten out the wheel it stops. I also have done work on the hardware on the breaks brand new as i thought that was the problem. resurfaced the rotors, and still the problem remains. i took it to a mechanic, and asked if it was the cv join and he said no way. also one more peice of info if it helps, when i put on the break no matter if im turning right or not. it stops.... sometimes it does it and sometimes it doesnt. 3.0 l 97 camry v6 4 door if this helps. thanks in advance.

The only thing I can think of with what you have given us is that maybe the backing plate that is behind the brake rotor was slightly bent during the course of the repair and is intermittently rubbing against the brake rotor. It doesn’t take much to bend these plates and they will make noise like you wouldn’t believe if they were touching. Just a thought, so check it out and let us know. Dan.

now that i think about it, the backing plate makes sense. when you apply the breaks doesnt it stop spinning? If so, that would kind of explain why it stops when i break. But if so, why would it only do it when i turn right. ill check it today after work and let you guys know. thanks
