Hey I just got back from an extended weekend up at Lake Nipissing ice fishing. Man did we have a great time. There were 16 of us here from London that went up there, it,s about 6 hours straight North of here. The fishing was good and the lodge owners did their best to keep us happy. Rick the owner even brought out his deep fryer and did up a shore lunch for us and we were about a mile off shore, with about two feet of ice under us. Walleye, Pike and Perch were on the menu. If you ever get a chance to go up to Lake Nipissing or the North Bay area you won’t regret it, summer or winter. I just thought I’d share. Dan.

Looks good Dan. Most of the ice we get here comes out of the sky and shuts the city down. Just wondering if you had to cut the hole bigger to bring your fish through?? ;D

No anything that I’d catch would more then fit through the 8” hole my auger cuts, but I’m not sure if I want to be on the end of the line with a fresh water fish that wouldn’t fit through. A pike or muskie that has an 8” girth would likely be about 6’ long, teeth like a junkyard dog and a disposition to match. I know chicken of the sea, but I like all my fingers. LOL Dan.
