My 97 Avalon was recently rear ended and although there appeared to be no damage, the steering wheel vibrates at idle. Something just doesn't seem right.

Have the motor and transmission mounts been checked?

My mechanic did check the engine mounts and said all was fine.

In the collision you could have had the wheel alignment knocked out of "whack" and it is not enough to "visibly" see. You should have all the tires balanced and a 4 wheel alignment done. I hope this is of some help. If all the mounts are good then this is where I would look.
