I'm having a problem with my 98 Durango, and I'm hoping there might be a fix other that trying to hunt down a broken wire or something. About a month ago, my passenger side window stopped working with the passenger side door switch, but I could still make it work with the driver's side switch. The very next day all windows and power locks stopped working with all door switches. However, the power locks still work with the key fob. It's getting warm outside and my air conditioning doesn't work. I'm cooking like a ham!! Can someone point me in some direction, or do I have to take it in and pay more than the vehicle is worth to have a mechanic try to locate a short or broken wire?? Please help!!

Let me see if I understand the problem correctly. The first sign of trouble was when the right side power window quit working. Then shortly after this failure, the car suffered total windows and locks failure, but only at the switches at the doors or consel, the key fob works the locks still. Ok, so based on this I would begin to look at the fuse and relay panel that houses the main power relays for both systems. Check these and the associated fuses to ensure they are both working and ar servicable. My guess is that one of these has failed. Now, if they are still good, then next would be to check the wiring from thew fuse panel back to each door, beginning with the right side. But I am willing to bet that a system relay has failed. So start there. Let me know what you find...IDOL
