;D well I signed up here to maybe get some anserws for a problem I'm having. I notice some of the same people are here as there is in 10w40 but give it a try anyway.
I replaced the timing belt on my peace of (&(^* kia spotage 2000. I went by a online manual called eautorepair. I lined the cam marks "I" and "E" up and then lined the crank up with it's mating mark. put the belt on. turned the engine 2 revolutions and checked that the marks are still lined up. I turned the engine to the "s" mark on the cam then tighten the tensioner pulley into place. when I crancked the engine it acts like it's out of time. I did this 3 times and the problem is still there. am I missing something here? HELP!!!! It's sunday @ 4:18 pm I would like to drive to work tomarrow. My legs are already sore from walking. (because I'm a nice guy and let my wife drive the other car to work)
thanks if any help

There’s a good chance that the engine has bent a few of the valves when the original timing belt broke. Even though you have changed the timing belt and have set it in properly the engine may be hurt. I’m at home right now an can’t confirm whether or not this engine is an interference engine or not but most of today’s cars are. To the point that you may have lost compression, due to a bent valve. Dan.
