If you are experiencing problems with a specific vehicle please provide the following information about the vehicle in the beginning of your post:
Year
Make
Model
Engine size
Transmission type (standard or automatic)
Approximate vehicle mileage.
If you have any warning lights that come on while driving such as the Check Engine light, Temperature light, Battery light or other warning indicators please include this information in your post as well. Also try to be as specific in describing your problem or problems as you possibly can. If you have noticed any pattern that pertains to your problem(s) please include this information too.
It may also be helpful to us if you include any recent repairs or attempts to repair your current problem.
Sometimes we may need to respond to your questions with more questions in order to narrow down the possibilities. A thorough original post made by you will help reduce the number of questions we need to ask and help us determine what course of action is needed to help you correct or further diagnose your concerns.
Concerning vehicles that will not start;
Unfortunately many people confuse the terminology that relates to vehicles that won’t start. When asking questions about a vehicle that won’t start please use the following terminology:
The engine will not crank or turn over = when you turn the ignition switch to the start position nothing happens as if the battery was dead.
The engine cranks or turns over but will not start = the starter is turning the engine but the engine will not run.
Also please be aware that when we respond to your questions we have no way of knowing if we were helpful or not unless you reply with a follow-up post. If we were helpful to you in correcting your vehicle complaints or answering your questions please let us know. Not only will this help feed our sense of satisfaction by means of helping others it may also help someone searching for an answer to a similar problem.
Furthermore if we were not helpful in resolving your vehicle complaints or questions please let us know this as well. This will aid us in providing a better service in the future.
