Buying first car post college: Mazda 3 any good?

I want something with longevity and reliability, how are mazdas in general. we've always had toyotas and hondas in our family which has served us well so its a bit nerve wracking venturing outside the mold. Let me know what you think. How are their tires? I heard they are replaced often and are expensive.

3's are great cars. Mazda in general has a great service record. I think you'll like it. But this is my opinion.
PS - I owned a 94 Mazda B2300 truck and it was always trouble free. Good Luck----idol
