I have a 1987 Chevy pick up. 2 wheel drive, automatic, air. 305 C.I. I started the truck put it in drive and the truck died. It did not sputter or stumble, it immeadiately died and will not re start. Will not crank or turn over in any way. It now has no electrical power at all. It's like the battery is out of the truck.(battery is new, connections are good, cables are tight) no lights will come on, windows will not roll up, no sound of any kind when key is inserted and turned. Have even tried to jump start the truck and it's exactly the same. No power going into the truck. Does not move the gauge in the dash No lights of any kind etc. Again it's like there is no power of any kind to the truck

Chevy/GM uses a dual system fusible link. Normally it is mounted to the firewall. It is an interupter to protect the engine electrical and chassis electrical components......I'd try that first.-------idol
