Thanks for taking the time to read this post. I am new here, but am currently having a hard time with my 1993 Buick Skylark. It is the 3.3 motor. Anyway, It all started when my car overheated on me one day. I immediately stopped when it started to get hot. Found out that the radiator fan wasnt working. We ran a wire straight from the fan to the battery and got it to work. We got the car home and ended up having to replace the water pump as well. We got the car back together and started it up and problem was fixed. Well, later that day I headed out to go to the store. As soon as I pulled out of the driveway, the car started acting up, trying to stall out. I got it back in the driveway and checked all my plugs and wires, checked the coilpacks to make sure they were all in tight. (sinced we'd had them off repairing water pump). I started the car again, and pulled out of the driveway, and it seemed fine. So I assumed I'd just had a loose wire the 1st time. Anyway, got to the store about 5 miles away, went in did my shopping, and when I tried to start the car back up to leave, it would not start. It turns over but does not start. We then had it towed to the closest garage to have them do a diagnostics test on it. Turned out they couldnt do the test and we had the car towed back home. Since we have been told that it was the coil packs or module, we had these tested at autozone and all came back good. We were then told it was probably the crank shaft positioning sensor. We ended up replacing it and the harmonic balancer as well, since we had already known the harmonic balancer was bad as well due to it making a loud clanking sound whenever the car was running. Got everything back together again, and still the car wont start. It turns over strong, but will not start. We are also not getting any spark at the coils. We also went through and checked out all my fuses under the dash, and inspected and tested all the wires coming from the battery to the starter, (since we'd had problems with them in the past). Still, nothing. We dont know where to even go from here. Any advice, or tips, or any feedback at all will be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely
joe
