my '94 ford van is running hot,i pulled out the thermostat and that seemed to do the trick, the truck was running much cooler during my 20 min test drive the temp Gage was on the o in normal just below top dead center" previously it was running past tdc then began over heating thats when i pulled the thermo.this morning on my 60 mile commute the temp increased slowly the entire trip till i hit traffic slowed down and the temp began to slowly drop, i changed the water pump last year and replaced the radiator, but still was loosing coolant so i used prestone rad sealer following the instructions and the truck was OK until now although the coolant has been kinda red even with green antifreeze

I would install a now thermostat, flush the cooling system, clean all road debris from radiator and condensor and see if that helps any. Good luck.
