Greetings...
I have a 1994 Caprice Classic LS, 4.3 V-8, that doesn't want to give up any warm air in the 'Heat' position... This model has the "Reverse Flow" coolant system, water pump replaced 2 years ago, thermostat changed last year {no heat before new thermo either}... Auto parts guy suggested checking the 'heater control valve" for a clog..this is inline on the lower hose from the water pump, hose clamped on one side and inserted into a metal 'crimped' end on the other.. Will this piece be easily removed, or is it neccesary to cut the hose before the metal end..seems like a major step to check for a clog in a $12 piece... Any other advise would greatly be appreciated..its gettin chilly in the AM.....

Might try to get retired and oldtimer to try it one day. Glad it was a cheap repair and glad you are not injured.Sorry you old guys. Had to do it.
