:(I have a Vauxhall Astra 1.6 cd duel fuel. Sept 2000, 112000 miles manual 5 speed. The problenm I am having is a feathering type noise and jerking motions until the engine picks up and then she's off like a rocket. The car does not have spark plugs, it has a single spark coil. The nearest I could explain it to is it sounds like she is only firing on 3 cylinders or a distributor not advancing, but it does not have a distributor. I suffer with this at low speeds and going uphill. When the engine is in neutral, I can rev it right up with no sound of the problem, it is only when in a gear and in motion. This happens more when I am running on LPG but does occur whilst in petrol. The problen started about a week ago and I would appreciate any help you guys or dolls could give me.Thanks

Sorry I haven’t worked on a Vauxhall in the last twenty years let alone a duel fuel. All I can think of is that it must be something that is common to both fuels. As in ignition system, control modules or whatever device that switches between the two fuels. Again sorry I wish I could be of more help especially on your first visit here. Maybe one of the others will have more input on this for you. Dan.
