Ok this is still not for sure but what I was checking on was whether you cars system was the same as some of the others that I’ve repaired and I think it is. What is likely happening is that the mechanical portion of the wipers parking mechanism has either worn; bent or a spring loaded lever has seized and is not connecting to a pull in tab to bring the wipers down to the bottom of the windshield. When you turn on the wipers the motor spins in what I think is a clockwise rotation when you turn the wipers off the wiper motor reverses direction of rotation and this lever is supposed to hook on a tab which moves a cam assembly and drags the wiper blades to the bottom of the windshield. What I found is that the tab (over time) bends and the lever cannot lock on to it, the levers spring breaks and does not extend out the lever to contact the tab or the pivot where the lever hinges on becomes seized and again the lever does not extend out far enough to contact the tab. One of three things that fix this is; bend that tab back so that the lever can connect to each other, free up the seized lever pivot or replace the whole “crank arm assembly” because of a broken or weak spring. I can see what I’m taking about and I hope I didn’t loose you along the way but have a look at this diagram and by the time you get to the car it’ll make more sense. On this car there is a bit of work to get to this crank arm assembly; as in removing the wiper arms and the filler panel between the windshield and firewall but once there it’s not a bad job. Dan.

You were right , it was that little lever. It froze up. I played with it a little and now everthing is working great. Thank you very much, you saved me a lot of money,
