I have a 99 Nissan Sentra. I need to access the plate lights. I cant seem to find an opening in the trunk to get to them. A person told me that I would have to remove the bumper cover to get to it. Doesnt sound like it should be that hard tho. any ideas? Thanks Allan

There isn’t anything in the repair manual regarding replacing the bulbs and that usually means it’s kind of a common sense thing. As in keep looking, there usually is either an access panel or some form of clips that may need to be removed to get at the bulbs. Once you find this you’ll wonder why you didn’t see it right off. Now that I’ve said this maybe you do have to remove the bumper, you never know what the engineers are thinking when they design these things. Dan.

Seems funny to reply to my own thread. But I am First thanks for your help. After looking at the trunk access to the plate. There was none.I almost came to remove the bumper cover. But got a screw driver out and pried the plate light frame itself.Figure I'd break it. But it came right out and uses a metal spring to hold it in. It was surely too "easy" I assumed that it would be over engineered. All I could have asked for was for the instructions on how to replace it to be in the manual. Again thanks for the help.I really like this forum, and hope that I too can get to help someone also. Allan
