hello just found this forum. 95 mustang gt 5.0 v8. aode automatic trans. 73,000 miles. problem code 212 spout grounded/ pcm unable to talk to ign. control module etc. car runs great for 20 to 30 min. then starts to cut out. you can even see the tach jump when it cuts out. the cut out happens at all speeds with steady throttle and idle. it seems to go away at wide open or hard acceleration. the vehicle has a custom chip, msd plug and play dist. msd coil, new ign. control unit, fresh plugs, plug wires, mass air was cleaned. i have looked for an obvious ground with no luck. any thoughts? can that little plastic spout plug go bad? i have visited a number of the mustang forums and have yet to find any help. this problem seems to be common with modified or stock vehicles. thanks for your help

Ford aftermarket performance is not my strong point. But the spout plug cannot go bad,it's just a shorting loop. When you unplug it the eng goes to fixed timing for tuneing.See if this site is any help. http://westers_garage.eidnet.org/performance_chip_trouble.htm
