Hey guys.
Andy (my son) and I went up to the Barrie automotive flea market this weekend.
It’s about two and half-hours north of here (London), it’s held twice a year.
A buddy of mine has a venders site there so we were able to crash at his motor home Friday night so we could get an early start walking the fields.
A hundred and twelve acres of miscellaneous automotive junk, set up on tables, trailers or whatever they could pile their goods on, with things from the turn of the century coach lights to salvage wrecked ZO6 Corvette parts and anything in between.
Like I said there’s a lot of junk but if you looked hard enough you could find a few jewels here and there.
With a little bartering we ended up with a few things for the Firebird, a set of traction bars for $75 and I think they’re one of the better sets, instead of them bolting to the spring mount it actually becomes the mount.
A pair of used 27”/ 8” slicks that seem to have quite a few runs left in them $50 for the pair.
A couple of Esprit fender badges that we thought we were never going to find other then at a reproduction place $20.
But our best find was a brand new still in the box Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, it was also the most expensive piece, we ended up paying $200 for it but here in the speed shops they’re asking $350.
Had a great time rummaging through all the different stuff, but man I’m not use to all that walking. Woke up this morning and could hardly move my legs. LOL
Looked around for Andy this morning but he was already gone to the shop, cleaning up and trying to install this loot.
Here’s a link to their Web site, it doesn’t do it justice

And a couple of pic’s
Andy at the motor home.
This is one of the auction feilds, across the road from our camp site.
The loot
Sorry I don't mean to bore you guys but I always enjoy the times that my son and I get to go away together. There seems to less and less of them these days.
Thought I’d share.
Dan.
