Well, guess what is in the shop . Driver sais it died while driving. Battery is low, alternator is charging, and everything seems to be in order. Told tech to start tearing wiring apart to look for a problem somewhere. He is not too happy. Told him he is paid by the hour, so, tear it apart. Will keep you all updated on this monster. COme on up retired and you can escape hurricane and fix the truck. ;D

Well, the monster showed it's head today. Alternator was discharging during test. Fumbled around and found battery saver relay extremely warm. Removed relay and alternator started charging as required. Replaced relay and ran for 5 hours and no re-occurance of problem. Sorta got me confused as to where the battery saver relay is tied into the alternator? iring diagrams have not revealed a lot unless for some reason it is tied somewhere inside the GEM. See ya. Sitting with Makers Mark now. Priorities are now in order!!
