i jus changed my air filter.it seem to be running a little better.the car feels as if it was breathing normal. One thing i found out, the reason my car didn't accelerate wen i push pedal to the metal is because it didn't open full throttle.it seem that the gas pedal only opens the throttle half way wen fully depressed.would you happen to know how to adjust the throttle cable from inside of the car.theirs about 2inches extra slack before it yanks on the cable.i've tried adjusting it under the hood but the pedal only feels sticky and hard to depressed.

As far as I know the only adjustment for the cable is located on the throttle body. Be sure the cable isn't kinked or binding in the sheath. Does the throttle valve operate smoothly by hand?

well guys i finally got my dx hatchback to be running like normal again..remember i had hesitation problems, distributor, and also running rich problems. And my check engine light was always on.I had metioned that the throttle wasn't fully opening wen i'd pedal to the metal during driving.Today i yanked out the throttle cable and fit it right back in so the throttle didn't have any slacks during accelerating the gas pedal.when i was done i started the car and guess what the check engine light went out.and now my car has power.I have never felt the power on this car til today.A little thing like adjusting throttle cable.Who'd of thought.Making sure that you have air, fuel, and spark at the right time ... Oh Boy..I feel so stupid. But i'd really like to thank VENTURI ,DAN-D and everybody else that had chipped in with their advices. Those information I recieved I will remember and hold on to for future purposes.THANKS GUYS for the help and quick responses.I appreciate it. I'l keep posted if i have anymore ?'s.

The first thing you’ll need to do is have the trouble codes checked again. If you post the code number(s) we can probably give you some ideas of what you will need to check but we will need to know the code numbers not just the affected circuits.
